Anglophiles Academic is a language center that offers learning and adventure at the same time. It has been on the market for almost 40 years and organizes English language courses in the UK, France, Ireland, the USA, Canada, China and other countries. Its mission is to provide high-quality teaching and valuable experience for young people, to introduce them to new challenges and to enrich their lives with excitement and enjoyment.
The Leicester University Eco Programme is a mix of English and a focus on current environmental issues. This innovative program is suitable for those who are interested in nature and the environment.
Leicester University is one of the leading British universities, located in the East Midlands, 100 miles north of London. The university has well-equipped facilities, including pitches for soccer, rugby, cricket, tennis, basketball and volleyball, a running track, a gym and a dance studio, and there is a swimming pool nearby.
English tuition includes 27 hours. Students' level is assessed with a test on the first day, after which they are placed in groups. The center's goal is to make everyday communication in English effective. Study materials are provided.
Sample program:
Day 1: Afternoon – arrival at Leicester University. Students get to know the campus and settle in. Evening - welcome games.
Day 2: 9:00-12:30 – English test + 3 hours of tuition with a 30-min. break; 12:30-14:00 – lunch in a self-service restaurant; 14:00-17:00 – tours and getting to know the campus; Dinner + icebreaker games.
Day 3: 9:00-12:30 3 hours of tuition with a 30-min. break; 12:30-14:00 – lunch in a self-service restaurant; 14:00-17:00 ECO workshop; Dinner + pub quiz night.
Day 4: 9:00-12:30 3 hours of tuition with a 30-min. break; 12:30-14:00 – lunch in a self-service restaurant; 14:00-17:00 ECO workshop; Dinner + Leicester's Got Talent.
Day 5: Full-day excursion to Oxford – getting to know the city, its history and traditions; lunch on the River Thames; free time to explore Oxford and go shopping; Dinner
Day 6: 9:00-12:30 3 hours of tuition with a 30-min. break; 12:30-14:00 – lunch in a self-service restaurant; 14:00-17:00 ECO workshop; Dinner + movie
Day 7: 9:00-12:30 3 hours of tuition with a 30-min. break; 12:30-14:00 – lunch in a self-service restaurant; 14:00-17:00 – visit to the National Space Centre in Leicester; Dinner + disco.
