
Cavendish School was founded in 1983. It offers language courses and special-interest camps. The teaching is practically oriented, with teachers paying special attention to each student according to their language level and their goals. The main building is in Bournemouth; its 3 elegant Victorian buildings are the ideal place for a relaxed, friendly and informal learning environment. Cavendish School has schools across the UK and also in Malta.
The youth camps organized by Cavendish School last from 1 to 10 weeks. Students have the opportunity to improve their English in a unique atmosphere, with lessons complemented by excursions, social events and competitions. Cavendish School aims to immerse its students in the culture, way of life and history of the UK. Excursions are organized with an activity leader and transport provided, and visit well-known cities such as London, Oxford, Winchester, Salisbury, Stonehenge, Southampton, Portsmouth and many others. Accommodation can be with a host family in a double room or in a residence. Meals are included in the price of every program. There are standard and premium camps.
Types of programs:
Bournemouth Standard and Premium Youth Camps
Language courses with numerous excursions that give students the chance to immerse themselves in the culture and way of life of the UK. They take place in Bournemouth. They last 1–10 weeks. English instruction includes 20 to 22 lessons per week. Groups have 15 students. The summer courses are standard or premium.
The standard camps run from June to September, with 20 English lessons per week. A 2-week stay includes 7 excursions (2 full-day and 5 half-day, one of which is to London). The program price is:
- Ages 13–17: £485/week with host family accommodation;
- Ages 10–17: residence £569/week.
The Premium camps run from June to September, with 22.5 English lessons per week. A 2-week stay includes 9 excursions (3 full-day and 6 half-day, two of which are to London). The program price is:
- Ages 9–17: £539/week with host family accommodation – including transport to and from the host family (up to 4 times/day), and public transport tickets are provided.
- Ages 10–17: £625/week with residence accommodation.
Intensive summer camp
This course is for advanced students only. It has slightly fewer extracurricular activities and more teaching hours. It can also be used for exam preparation. It runs between July and September. The age range is 16–18. It lasts 2 weeks and includes 55 lessons (37 hours). Groups have 15 students. Activities include 8 excursions (2 full-day and 6 half-day, 1 excursion to London) and 10 evening events. With host family accommodation the price is £579/week including travel costs, and with residence accommodation £665/week.
Brighton-Ardingly Premium summer camp
Ardingly College is one of the best schools in England. It is located close to the center of Brighton. The college has extensive grounds of its own, including a lake, a chapel, a theater building, several soccer fields, a basketball court and tennis courts, an Olympic-size swimming pool and a large sports hall. Accommodation is close by, and students have access to common rooms with TV and free Wi-Fi. The age range is 8–17. The stay can last between 1 and 8 weeks. It runs in July and August. Instruction is 24 lessons (16 teaching hours) per week. Groups have 10 students. A 2-week stay includes 6 excursions (3 full-day and 3 half-day), 8 daytime and 14 evening activities, including swimming competitions, kayaking, rowing, disco, karaoke, movie and quiz nights. The camp costs £775 per week.
Brighton-ArdinglyLego® summer camp
The information about the Brighton-Ardingly Premium summer camp also applies to this camp, with a few differences - the age ranges are 7–10 and 11–13. Instruction is 24 lessons, which are interactive Lego® lessons. The stay can last between 1 and 4 weeks. It runs in July and August. The camp includes 1 visit to Legoland Windsor® in addition to the other visits and excursions. The camp costs £825 per week.
London-Hatfield summer camp
The University of Hertfordshire has a modern, completely safe campus on the outskirts of London, from which central London can be reached very quickly. It is a wonderful opportunity to immerse yourself in British culture and way of life while improving your English. All facilities – bedrooms, dining hall, classrooms – are on campus and within walking distance. The university is very well equipped, with soccer fields, tennis courts, swimming pools, sports halls and the option of rock climbing courses. 3 meals a day are included. The age range for this camp is 10–17. The stay lasts between 1 and 6 weeks. English instruction is 24 lessons (16 hours) per week. Groups have 10 students. It runs in July and August. A two-week stay includes 6 excursions (3 full-day and 3 half-day), plus a visit to London every week, 8 daytime and 14 evening activities. An optional visit to the Warner Bros Harry Potter studio is available. Other activities include:

Oxford Premium summer camp
The University of Oxford gives teenagers the chance to immerse themselves in student life; its fantastic location is a mix of a modern and an authentic campus in the center of Oxford. An enclosed complex with everything students need during their stay offers a wide variety of outdoor activities. Just 1 hour from London and close to other great places such as Shakespeare's hometown.
It runs in July and August, and the age range is 12–17. The stay lasts from 1 to 7 weeks. Instruction is 24 lessons (16 hours) per week. Groups have a maximum of 14 students. Activities for a 2-week stay include 6 excursions (3 full-day and 3 half-day), including a boat trip on the River Thames.
The camp price with residence accommodation in an en-suite room is £799; with rooms sharing bathroom facilities on the floor it is £740. Additional entertainment may include:

Soccer camp
The soccer camps combine English lessons and soccer training over 2 weeks for teenagers aged 11–17. They include 40 English lessons and over 26 hours of soccer training led by qualified coaches from Poole Town FC. Training is split over 7 days of 3 hours each, plus a match against an English soccer team at the end of the camp. Groups have 15 students. The venue is Cavendish Road and/or Southbourne. 6 excursions and 8 evening events are included. The program costs £549/week with a host family, transport included.
